DevBlog 2 is here to give you a look at the upcoming changes and improvements in HackHub. This update aims to make your experience more realistic, faster, and user-friendly. Here’s what’s planned:
🌙 Dark Mode
- Dark mode will be added to all Goagle websites (Homepage, Search, Mail).
- Perfect for long sessions without straining your eyes.
🖥 Desktop & File System Updates
- Desktop icon placement issues will be fixed and icon styles slightly updated.
- Bug when creating a file with the same name will be fixed. Now, files will behave like a real OS: duplicate names will be automatically numbered (e.g., file (2)).
💻 Terminal Improvements
- Terminal structure is being updated.
- Table layouts in the terminal will now fit correctly on the screen.
- Scroll will automatically follow new lines, solving previous issues.
- Unnecessary empty space at the bottom of the terminal will be removed.
- Terminal alignment problems will be fixed.
🌐 Firebear Browser v2
- Fully rebuilt with a modern and faster interface.
- Designed to behave like a real web browser, supporting IP addresses and ports directly from the terminal.
- System notifications inside the Surfaces system will automatically open URLs in the browser when clicked.
✉️ Typewriter System
- The typewriter system (Kisscord messages, mails) will now have a “Character” mode option.
- Instead of sending single characters per keystroke, it will type one word per key press.
- Settings: Settings → Gameplay → Typewriter Mode.
🛠 Miscellaneous Bug Fixes
- Translation issues are being corrected.
- Desktop overlapping icon problems will be fixed.
- Kisscord chat will automatically focus input when switching chat screens.
- Various other bug fixes and performance improvements.
